An NBA basketball team, Dallas Mavericks is based in Dallas, Texas. The team was founded in 1980 and currently is member of Southwest Division of Western Conference in the National Basketball Association (NBA). The team plays its home games at American Airlines Center that is located in the Victory Park neighborhood near downtown Dallas, Texas. Avery Johnson is the current head coach of the team.
